History and Values of Hoobla

Hoobla was founded on June 17, 2021 by Harpa Magnúsdóttir.
It was appropriate to establish the company on the Icelandic independence day since Hoobla is an Icelandic company with the goal of creating increased independence, flexibility, and freedom in the labour market.

Harpa founded Hoobla after seeing that there was no such platform available in Iceland, making it often difficult to find experts willing to work freelance.

Hoobla strives to be a leading platform where companies and institutions have easy access to local experts, managers, and consultants who take on temporary projects and part-time positions. Hoobla facilitates their business interactions and maximizes the success of both parties.

Hoobla has developed an exceptional software that simplifies the connection between workplaces and specialists, allowing people to start working together with minimal effort.

Today, Hoobla provides access to over 600 outstanding experts who take on temporary projects and part-time work. Over 300 businesses have utilized the services of Hoobla. This includes notable names such as Eimskip, Ístak, Terra, Tixly, Skólamat, the City of Reykjavík, Reykjanesbær, the Marine Research Institute, the National Museum of Iceland, and other strong employers.

Harpa is the CEO of Hoobla. She holds a master's degree in HR Management from the University of Iceland. She worked for many years in the field of HR at ORF Genetics and BIOEFFECT and has provided HR services and consulting to numerous companies and organizations.
